Would a higher grade gasoline give me better gas mileage?

I have a 96′ Chevy s10 blazer and a 92′ Chevy s10 pickup, both of which dont get the best gas mileage, but I use the blazer to drive 37 miles one way to work and would like to maximize my gas mileage in any way. I currently get about 18mpg.

Yes. it’s burns hotter therefore less fuel needed to go the same speed

The expensive additives that make difference between the gasoline brands like chevron with its patented techron additive which is in all their gasolines see link below have more of the same strength in all their gasolines httpwwwaa1carcomlibrarybad_gas2htm.

Yes it would, and also changing your oil every 5000 KM or 3000 miles improves gas mileage big time.

Buy your gas at a branded station, which means 76,Chevron,Shell Etc. They have additives in their gas. Cheap gas stations have no additives, they all have the same octane, try a higher octane at one of the branded stations and see if you mileage goes up. Make sure your air filter is in good sharp and check your manuel to see when a tune-up is due. All these items will increase mileage
